The little tray on this thing actually works — all the wick bits land in it instead of on my candle or the floor. Seven inches gives plenty of reach into deep jars, and the cut is clean every time.

The little tray actually catches the wick bits instead of dropping them into the wax, which I didn't expect to care about until I saw how clean my jars stayed. The 7-inch length means my fingers stay well clear of the flame, and the cut is crisp every time.

Bought this to replace trimming wicks with scissors and it's a clear upgrade — the 7-inch length gives nice reach into deep jars. Wish the tray were a touch bigger for wider pillar candles, but the steel blades cut cleanly every time.
